Challenge #224--Super Heroes!!!

This week at Crafty Creations, our challenge it to create a card for your super hero or of your super hero.  Hopefully, you will be able to stop by and play along.  We always have the most amazing sponsors!

This card is for my mom.  She was my super hero and always came to my rescue whether it be helping me clean my house or taking care of my daughter.  My mom passed away almost two years ago, but it honestly just seems like a few weeks has passed.  She died of leukemia and never complained even though she suffered.

If you ever see a teal ribbon, it stands for leukemia.  My mom's favorite color rose was yellow, so that is why I used the colors that I did.

Here is a close-up of the flower cluster.  Yes, I still love my twine.  : )

I just thought this was a funky angle for the picture and thought I would through it in there.

As always, thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day and give your super heroes a special hug while they are still with you.

Crafty Creations--Mother's Day Challenge #220

Good morning!  Yes, we have another great challenge at Crafty Creations!  It is to create something for Mother's Day.  I lost my mom a couple years ago to leukemia, so I did not want to make a card.  I decided to make a door hanger so if I ever get the time to take a nap, I will be ready.

Here is a close up of the flower cluster.  I really like the way it turned out.  I made the big pink flower out of book paper and then sprayed it with color.

Here is another close up so you can see the details on the flower.  As you know, I am in love with book paper.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get to join us at Crafty Creations.
