Card share

Don't you just love a weekend without a TON of things that have to be done?  Not to mention the extra hour!  YEAH!!!

Anyway, I got to play along with a few challenge blogs this weekend.

The first challenge that caught my eye was over at Totally Gorjuss.  It was anything with a button.  While I was blog hoppin' around, I landed on Crafty Catz and their challenge was to add texture.  I just love using buttons and texture, so these two challenges were perfect for me!

Here is the card that I created.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day!

Friends with Flair

I just LOVE Unity's Friends with Flair!  With school starting it is hard to believe that I have not been able to play along until now, but I am so glad I found some time to play with the Bright and Merry Winter Wishes set of stamps.

Here is the first card I made using the set.

I also made this card which is very similar, but a little different.

And finally, this one.

This set of stamps are so fun!  Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day!

White on White Card

Don't you just love Pinterest!  Whoever created it...THANK YOU!!!

I love the look of white-on-white and with Christmas coming, I thought it would make a lovely card.  Of course, I had to break out the embossing folders which was perfect for the challenge over at I Did it Creations Challenge Blog and Gingerloft Challenge Blog.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day!

Friday Friends with Flair!

Is it Friday again?  My, my, my time sure does fly.  Which brings up the question?  Have you made any Christmas cards yet?  It will be here before you know it!

Here are the ones I made this week.  Of course, I used my Unity Stamps and love how they turned out.

Have you tried these before?  They are wonderful for doing multiple colors on one stamp.  They are so "juicy" that you can color several different colors on one stamp before it dries.  I LOVE them!  I always love finding something new and wonderful, so I hope you don't mind that I shared.

Anyway, thanks for looking and I hope you have a great FRIDAY!!!

Monochromatic Challenge

What a fun challenge!  Over at Christmas Card Challenges this week they are having a challenge where you make a card using monochromatic colors this week.  Here is the card I made for the challenge.  I used a paint strip, thread, and lilybee design patterned paper.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Christmas Card Challenge

Christmas is only 198 days away and I don't want to be rushing around at the last minute making all my Christmas Cards.  Therefore, I am making them every month this year.  Over at the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog, they are on the letter K and it is for Keep it Simple.
Here is a coordinating tag for the challenge at Scrappin Mojo.  I still need to punch the hole in it and add the twine.  Sorry.  I got a little excited and forgot to do that before I took the picture.

All the papers are from My Minds Eye 12 Days of Christmas collection.  Thanks for looking and I hope you have a good day!

April Christmas Card Challenge

No, I am not April fooling either!  LOL  I set a goal at the beginning of the year to work on my Christmas cards every month and so far, I have stuck to it!  I have not counted, but I know I have at least 20 cards done!!!

Anyway, this challenge will be posted over at Scrappin' Mojo if you would like to play along.  Everyone there is super nice and really is very creative.  It is like one of those best kept secrets.  hahaha

This challenge is to create a card or a layout with a multiple of three.  I used three squares for my card.
You could use three flowers, buttons, different PPs or just whatever you like as long as something is a multiple of three.

Here is my example.

Yes, I need to work on my photography skills.  Here is a close up.

Thanks for looking and I hope you play along!

March Christmas Tag Challenge

Here is my take on Joni's tag challenge.  It was so much fun and I just love how it turned out!

Here is a card I made after watching a YouTube video of Faber Castel Gelatos.  It showed to cut two of the exact came shapes.  Decorate one and score it along the top.  That will be the front of the card.  Adhere it to the other shape and you are done!  It was so easy!!!

My friend sent me the sentiment.  I think it is from Unity Stamps.

I am taking an online class on making clean and simple cards.  Here is the first one I have made based on that class.

Stuck on you!

That is the challenge over at Jingle Bell's and it really look me back.  The challenge was to use a sticker!  Can you believe that?!?  How fun!  It has been forever since I have used a sticker.  I loved the challenge and the card I created.

I made the flower with watercolor paper.  It does not "glow" IRL and I should have waited to take the picture with natural light.  Here is a closer up.

Thanks for looking and all the great challenges!

Christmas Card Challenge

Here is the card I made for the challenge at Weekly Christmas Card Challenges.  The challenge was to use paisley.  Since I did not have any paisley paper, I decided to make my own!  It turned out so much prettier than what this picture shows.  Just so you know, my card is a rectangle.  I don't know why my camera warps the edges sometimes.  To be honest, I know it is not the camera, but the person taking the picture!  hahaha

Thanks for looking!

Today....

This has been a very frustrating day.  I have a TON of school work to do and nothing seems to be coorperating.  The tech. guy from school installed a new program on my computer.  I need to enter all my kids and a ton of tests into the program.  However, the program will not allow me to open the section I need to add my kids.

After reaching my limit on my aggrevating scale, I decided to scrap.  I made a few things for the challenges at Scrappin Mojo.

Here is my tag for Joni's tag challenge.

This is the card I made for Diane's challenge.  It was to use word art and the word love.  I hope this card fits the challenge, if not, I have my card done for my daughter for Valentine's Day.

And here is the card I made for my own Christmas Card challenge.  I only made three, so I will be making another card for this month.  My goal is to make at least six (6) Christmas cards every month.

Thanks for looking and I can't wait for some more scrapping time.  It makes me feel so much better!

Christmas Card!

Yes, I know it is January and Christmas is 12 months away, but I am not going to get in the situation I was last year. I always like to make my cards, but time ran out of me and I did not get them done. Anyway, my goal is to make at least 6 Christmas cards a month.

Well, I am really ahead of schedule! I think this is my 3rd set! Anyway, I was so inspired by the challenge over at 365 Cards, that I made this card for their Sunday Challange.
Here is their sketch.

And here is my take...

I can't wait to get started on their Monday challenge! It is a color combo and it also going to be so fun!

Card set number #2!

I can't tell you how good it feels to be able to create again. It is like a breath of fresh air sweeping over my soul. Now that is a little dramatic, don't you think? :)

Anyway, here is the card I made for the current challenge over at Jingle Bells, Beth's January Color Challenge at Scrappin Mojo, and today's card challenge, using scallops at 365 Cards.  It is my goals to make six cards each month and so far this month I am ahead of schedule!

I am either a terrible photographer or my camera stinks.   The image is not crooked and the card is not bent.

Here is a close-up so you can see the glitter. I do LOVE glitter!

Thanks for looking!

January Christmas Card

When I make cards, I almost always make six of the same thing. Well, this one has been a true work in the making. I have everything cut out, colored, stickled, stamped, painted and ready to go. Now just to decide if I like it.

I think it needs something. I've added a button, ribbon, string, more snowflakes and nothing seems to make is look done to me. Maybe it will grow on me if I keep looking at it. LOL

Stocking

At school we had a stocking decorating contest. I was surprised at the amount of teachers that participated. There were 22 stockings for the kids to vote on as being the best. The stocking that won lit up! Talk about being competative! Anyway, here is my stocking. Can you tell, I just love making these kids?

Christmas Angel

Here is a picture of the SheArt angel that I made at school with my friends Katey and Olivia. I hope they post pictures of their angels too because they turned out so cute! She spreads Christmas cheer
How do you put a hard return in blogger? All my sentences run together even though I space them out with the enter key.

Christmas...

Since Christmas is over, I decided to change my blog header. It is really dark, but I like it! Aren't snowflakes just beautiful! We have not seem much snow this year and I am really looking forward to the first heavy snowfall.
This is the same snowflake as in my header, but bigger. Isn't it beautiful?! It is so hard to believe that no two snowflakes alike. One thing that I love to do is walk out in the yard and scoop snow up in my hand. If you look at it closely, you can see all the different designs and it truly is amazing. My mom always liked the snow too. I am really missing her today.
