A little funny and a card share

We have had a terrible winter.  Lots of snow, ice, and school cancellations.  In fact, we have cancelled school 15 days thus far and still have the rest of February to get through.  Anyway, the last day that we had school, I did a simple experiment with my 4th graders.  They are studying conservation of matter so I gave each of them a piece of bubble gum.  The idea behind the lesson was for the kids to weigh the mass before and after it was chewed and then discuss what caused these changes.  Anyway, as I passed out the gum, one of my boys looked at me and said...."Mrs. Yontz....I can't believe I am this excited to chew a piece of gum."  He was all giggles and was smiling from ear to ear.

The reason for that story is that I can't believe I am this excited to go to school today!  I honestly love my job and the kids make me smile every single day.

Since we did not have school yesterday, I made this card.  I think it is a clean and layered card because of the blank card space.

Here is a close-up of the focal point.  I found a beret of feathers while out shopping and love popping one in here and there.

Thanks for stopping by and I am giving away some blog candy this month for one of my new followers in celebration of the 1st challenge at Sketch n' Dies

I am entering this card in the following challenges.
