February Card Kit Club

I am in a swap with a really fun group of girls.  Each month, one person in our group sends out a card kit to everyone in the group.  This month it was Beth's turn to send out the kit.  She mailed us an amazingly fun kit with lots of red, pink, and white.  Thanks!!!!

Here is a picture of the kit.

Beth always puts together really fun kits to work with and this one was no exception.  Here are the cards that I created.

I also made a little box with candy and accidently gave it away before I took a picture.  : (  However, the person that I gave it to said, "I didn't know you could make something like this."  LOL  I think it was a compliment.

If you want to check out the rest of our creations, here are links to everyone's blogs.  A couple of our girls do not have a blog, so their creations can be seen at Scrappin' Mojo.

February [be creative] Unity Challenge

I confess...I am in love....with Unity!!!!  My friend got me hooked a while ago and it seems that my love keeps getting deeper and deeper.  hahaha

Anyway, over at Unity, they have created a new challenge blog. A new challenge will post the second Thursday of each month.  This month, was a card sketch.  You did not have to create a card, but I did.  I turned the sketch on it's side and here is what I came up with.

The flowers have hand stitching and the cherries have glaze over them to really make the shine.  You can't see it very well from the picture, so I thought I would just mention it.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day!!!

Let's get Quirky!!!

Last week, I stumbled upon a new-to-me blog with really fun and quirky challenges!  This week at Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog, the challenge is to create something on the theme of supernatural love but without a lot of hearts, flowers and ruffles. Therefore, I painted a piece of cardboard and made a little SheArt girl that loves to be loved.  Yes, it has a girlie feel, but I loved how it turned out.

Here is my girl.

Friends with Flair

It has been a while since I have been able to play along, but I am so thankful for the snow day!  My best friend lives in California and when I saw the Itty Bitty set "you're my bestie" I had to get her a set and myself one too.

Here is the card I created.

I can't believe how perfectly the stamps went with the Basic Grey Konnichiwa patterned paper.  Thanks for looking and have a good day!

CAS Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!   LOL

I am a big fan of the CAS style, so here is my Valentine card that I made for my friend at school.  I was inspired by all the cards over at Lexi's Creations, so thanks for the challenge!

Only recently did I discover washi tape....gasp!  The red chevron strip is tape.  Don't you just love using it!

Addicted to CAS

I got to play along with Addicted to CAS!  Their code word is HEART and with Valentine's Day approaching I decided to make a traditional card using pinks and purples with just a splash of red.

Here is my card.

Here is a close-up of the cluster.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a good day!

Quirky Crafts

I have been wanting to make one of these candy holders for a while and the challenge over at Quirky Crafts they had the perfect challenge.  Here is a picture of the finished product.

And here is a close-up of the cluster.  I got a couple new dies.  One was for the lace at the top of the card and the other was for the doily.

This is what is looks like from the side.

The Paper Players

Every once in a while you need a sympathy card, so I decided to make one today thanks to The Paper Players.  I am so glad I stumbled across this challenge blog and plan to follow it for more great challenges.

I have always wanted to make an easel card and since clean and simple is my style, here is what I came up with.
